**About Early Learning Victoria**
The Victorian Government is establishing 50 government-owned and operated early learning centres by 2032 as part of the Best Start, Best Life reforms. The centres offer childcare, Three and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten and Pre-Prep. The centres provide high-quality, accessible and inclusive early childhood education and care that is child centred, focused on learning through play and in nature, with strong connections to local communities.
Early Learning Victoria (ELV) is part of the Victorian Department of Education. The ELV central team is leading the roll-out of the 50 centres and supports and oversees 4 centres that have recently opened. **About the role**
Early Learning Victoria recognises the significant role our workforce plays in bringing our purpose to life and we are committed to supporting and growing our early learning workforce to reach their full potential. The Quality and Learning Advisor is responsible for coordinating Early Learning Victoria's provision of professional learning and development for ELV staff.
The role will manage the implementation and evaluation of the organisational professional learning program, that enhances the capabilities, performance and engagement of staff across the organisation, supporting the effective provision of ELV's early learning centres. The role will ensure learning is aligned ELV's philosophy and key organisational priority areas. The role will also be responsible for the planning and scheduling of mandatory and responsive training and development, including induction activities.
**Key responsibilities**
- Support the implementation and evaluation of ELV's professional learning program that incorporates adult learning principles and inclusive learning methodologies
- Conduct training needs assessments to identify learning opportunities across teams
- Develop career pathways and succession plans in collaboration with other staff across ELV
- Build partnerships with relevant tertiary and training institutions
- Coordinate mentoring and coaching initiatives across centres
- Collaborate with Centre Directors and Area Managers to align learning initiatives with operational needs
- Facilitate training and development activities as required
**Experience required will include**
- Demonstrated experience implementing professional learning programs within an ECEC context
- Effective communication and people management experience, with a skill for fostering a high-trust and collaborative culture.
- Experience in facilitation and coordination of professional learning
- Experience in stakeholder management and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of the ECEC sector and the National Quality Framework
- Experience managing policy projects, from short-term to long-term initiatives.
**Specific skills/qualifications required**
- Relevant tertiary degree.
- Current Police and Working with Children's Checks
