Guest Services Department/Reservations Host

Located in the heart of Sydney CBD, 6 HEVD is The Rocks’ latest prestigious steakhouse that is known for its commitment to providing customers with a journey over time through premium dining. Simple and honest food, inspired by seasonality.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Greeting guests as they enter, and putting them on a waiting list as necessary.
- Providing guests with menus and answering any initial questions.
- Seating guests at tables or in waiting areas.
- Assigning guests to tables they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive the right number of customers.
- Engaging with guests to ensure they're happy with food and service.
- Responding to complaints and helping to resolve them.
- Answering phone calls, taking reservations and answering questions.
- A knowledge of the menu.
- Helping out with other positions in the restaurant as needed.
- Providing great customer service.

The successful applicants will have:

- A minimum of 1 years' experience in guest services within the restaurant, hotel or tourism industry
- Experience in function booking and coordination
- Previous experience in an A La Carte environment an advantage
- Cash handling experience & Financial Reconciliation
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- SevenRooms experience an advantage
- Guest Recognition
- Current RSA certificate
- Impeccable presentation, hygiene and grooming standards
- Sound written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills essential.
- Attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Flexible availability over a 7 day rotating roster
