**About Us**:
Anne Sgro Children’s Centre is an 82 place non-for-profit long day care Centre and Kindergarten, managed by a Committee of Management in partnership with the licensee. We are currently seeking a passionate, enthusiastic kitchen hand to join our team.
**The Role**:
The role is Monday - Friday 11.30am-4.30pm, total of 25 hours per week. The role will require you to work alongside and assist the Cook in the preparation of food, cooking and maintaining a clean kitchen including dishes and someone who is able to step up into the role of a cook when the main cook is away. The role also assists in the delivery of operational service and quality to our children and families whilst supporting other team members.
**We are looking for someone who has**:
- Approved Food Handling/Food Safety Certificates
- 1 years' work experience working in a kitchen setting including allergy awareness
- Working with Children Check
- Ability to interact and engage with children and families
- Experience in working as a team and a can-do attitude
- A professional attitude
- An eye for detail ensuring cleanliness and hygiene is key
**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Coburg, VIC 3058: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
**Experience**:
- kitchen hand: 1 year (preferred)
