Dental Assistant/receptionist

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet patients as they arrive and ensure they feel comfortable and welcome
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, and follow up with patients regarding appointment reminders
- Collect and process patient payments and insurance information
- Assist the dental team with various procedures, including taking X-rays, preparing dental materials, and sterilizing instruments
- Maintain patient records and update electronic health records as needed
- Manage inventory and order supplies as necessary
- Keep the reception area and surgery room clean, organized and stocked
- Other duties as assigned by the practice manager
- Liaising with 3rd parties eg Labatories

Qualifications:

- Cert III in Dental Assisting or experience in a dental field required
- Completion of a dental assisting program preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in basic computer skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, early morning and weekends as needed
- Productivity and initiative

- Dental reception: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
