We have an excellent opportunity for a dynamic person to join our team as an HSE Officer who is keen to develop and take ownership of the role. RCT is a global Smart Technology company with a long history in the mining and industrial sectors. We are a leading provider of Automation and Control solutions for all mobile equipment in the mining industry and have an extensive range of solutions spanning five sub-brands, all of which deliver our clients increased productivity, profitability and safety.
Location: Based at our head office in Kewdale, WA
Employment Status: Permanent
**The Role** Your focus will include:
- Promote a positive safety culture within the group
- Coordinating & providing HSE awareness training and staff inductions as required
- Provide a key point of contact for HSE enquiries within the company
- Monitor compliance with the company’s Safety Management Systems and regulatory requirements.
- Inspecting workplaces, tools and equipment to ensure compliance with WHS legislation
- Maintenance of the safety management database
- Compile monthly HSE statistics and performance reports for management.
- Review and maintain HSE policy and procedures
- Other general HSE duties as required
**T**he Ideal Person**
- Genuine interest & passion in HSE
- Self-motivated and able to use own initiative to prioritise work and multitask to meet deadlines
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage, build relationships and advise stakeholders across all levels.
- High attention to detail
- Minimum 1 years experience in a similar role
- A tertiary qualification in HSE or equivalent is desirable
- The ability to build and maintain relationships and work confidently with people at all levels
- Ability to work autonomously as well as being able to contribute positively within a collaborative team.
- Excellent knowledge and skills in MS Office, in particular, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
