Hotel Receptionist and Night Auditor

The George Williams Hotel, located on George Street in the heart of the Brisbane CBD, is a favourite amongst business and leisure travelers with 103 stylish rooms conveniently located close to key attractions such as Roma Street Parklands, Queen Street Mall, North Quay and Brisbane City Hall.

We are currently seeking a **Hotel Receptionist**to join the team on a **casual basis **to assist in covering night shifts, between 2:00pm and 11:00pm, Monday to Sunday**.**

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The role of a **Hotel Receptionist **involves ensuring the quality and timely delivery of all accommodation related services, with the view of maximizing profits whilst ensuring guest satisfaction. This role is perfect for someone who understands the local Brisbane landscape and enjoys bringing their exemplary customer service and administration skills to life, both autonomously and as part of a supportive and friendly team.

The responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

- Ensuring that guests are greeted in a warm and friendly manner, creating a positive first impression of the GWH
- Delivering a comfortable guest experience through attentive and efficient service
- Utilise your calm and professional interpersonal skills in attending to guest queries and the occasional complaint, being sure to deliver a satisfactory outcome for both guests and the business
- Completing all guest reservations and enquiries via phone, fax or web, ensuring that the source of business data is accurately recorded
- Seamless allocation of rooms ensuring that regular/returning guests, corporate clients and VIPs are provided with correct room numbers and all special requests are adhered to where possible
- Utilise your excellent local knowledge to provide information to guests regarding local attractions, restaurant recommendations, transport options and sight-seeing
- Cash handling including end-of-day reporting and float balance (training provided)
- Coordinating amenities, room service orders and deliveries
- Supporting the Manager with daily tasks and duties as required
- **SELECTION CRITERIA**
- Minimum of two years’ customer service experience in a similar role
- Front office, reservations and/or auditing experience preferably within a hospitality environment
- Excellent customer service skills including an ability to handle queries, complaints and challenging situations with professionalism
- Sound knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Office
- Willing and able to work flexible hours as determined by business requirements
- Hold a current National Police Check or be willing to obtain one
