Sydney Water have partnered with Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) to deliver; design, construct, maintenance and facilities management services as part of the P4S program in Sydney Water's Southern Region of Sydney. D4C is a consortium comprising of John Holland, Service Stream and WSP. We will provide long term employment opportunities to diversify the skills of the people of the southern region of Sydney as well as creating pathways to enter the water industry. We have identified an exciting opportunity for a Drafter to join our project supporting the D4C team and working closely with our Sydney Water team to help communicate our vision with our people. **Key Responsibilities**: - Develop and document preliminary and detailed design deliverables, in accordance with project requirements and industry best practice. - Deliver design documentation in accordance with agreed budget and schedule requirements, and in compliance with Australian and Sydney Water Standards. - Undertake field and desktop investigations to determine the condition, appropriateness, and capacity of existing infrastructure and sites to support and interface with the design requirements. - Work collaboratively with other engineering disciplines to produce multi-discipline designs. - Liaise with project stakeholders including Sydney Water representatives to confirm design requirements. - Manage document revision and distribution in accordance with management system requirements. - Contribute to Safety in Design (SiD) processes. - Contribute to design risk and project risk management processes. - Contribute to project environmental management processes. - Mentor and guide more junior drafters / modelers. - Demonstrate commitment to HSEQ through personal example, leadership and participation in monitoring of established working practices. **Essential Requirements**: - Associate Diploma, Diploma in Drafting or work-based experience. - 5 - 10 years' relevant experience. - Well established technical skills within discipline. - Sound technical English skills and good grammar. - Ability to work both autonomously and within a team. - Discipline specific AutoCAD and AutoCAD related software skills and experience. - Vault and BIM360 skills and experience. - Electronic document management skills and experience. - MS Office skills and experience. - White Card. - Relevant internal and external SHEQ training (desirable).
