**Our Client**
Our client is a leading supplier of high technology solutions to the Australasian life sciences market. Their major product portfolios are representative of some of the best manufacturers & suppliers in the business, across the disciplines of genomics, protein science, cell biology and lab automation.

**The Opportunity**
You are a scientifically qualified individual who has combined technical competencies with commercial acumen and are ready to manage a portfolio of innovative products from a range of highly regarded manufacturers and supplies. Alternatively, you have an interest in commercial science and are keen to enter industry at an associate level and establish yourself in commercial science. Working closely with the CEO and the Marketing Manager, you will develop and implement sales and marketing programs for your business areas & product lines at a national level. To achieve this, you will:

- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies and tactics to achieve sales growth targets.
- Create positioning messages and ad concepts for new and existing products.
- Track and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and promotions.
- Represent the company at conferences and trade shows.
- Maintain an accurate sales funnel to track opportunities and make sales calls to customers.
- Give technical product presentations to researchers.
- Provide relevant training to sales staff and technical support to customers, as required.
- Monitor competitor products and pricing.
- Receive ongoing training and support designed to help you build a successful and rewarding career in commercial science.

**Position Requirements**
- Masters or PhD in bioscience field (molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, or similar).
- Practical expertise in techniques including, but not limited to cell culture, microscopy, flow cytometry, ELISA & other plate-based biochemical assays, conventional & real-time PCR, nucleic acid extraction & preparation from cell lysates, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and natural ability in developing strong, professional relationships with customers as well as the rest of our close-knit team.
- You are a “people-person”, good listener, and interested in learning how to identify the unmet needs of customers to help improve and further develop their research or clinical program.
- Experience in sales or marketing within healthcare/life sciences markets preferred, not essential.
