Are you looking to secure your entry into Nursing through direct entry into a Graduate Nurse position at the end of your degree?
Calvary Hobart in partnership with The University of Tasmania, is once again offering an exciting opportunity to University of Tasmania Bachelor of Nursing students, to become part of our Student Nursing Internship Program for 2025.
This program aims to comprehensively support participants with the development of their nursing skills and in the transition from student to graduate nurse.
The internship program will commence in 2025, and consists of 2 Clinical Professional Experience Placements (PEP) at Calvary Hobart, with ongoing support, mentorship and performance feedback.
The Calvary Student Internship Program does not consist of any additional coursework to what your final year nursing studies requires you to complete.
Successful students of this program will gain direct entry to the Calvary Hobart Graduate Nurse Transition Program (GNTP) for 2026.
To be eligible to apply
You are a student of the University of Tasmania currently enrolled in either;
First year of H3O Bachelor of Nursing 2 year Degree - Accelerated (Due to complete NUR358 and NUR359 in 2025)
OR Second year of H3N Bachelor of Nursing 3 year Degree (Due to complete NUR358 and NUR359 in 2025)
You will be ready (registered) and available to commence employment in your Graduate Nurse role at Calvary Hobart in February or March 2026
You will have unrestricted working rights in Australia, or hold an appropriate Visa that allows ongoing full time employment in Australia
