We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Software Sales Consultant to join our team in Belrose, Sydney. This is a critical technical role in a dynamic sales and engineering environment, consulting on large scale warehouse/distribution centre automation software projects.

Tasks and Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with customers to identify their technical and business requirements and providing software solution designs to meet these requirements. Solutions will typically involve the following elements:
- Dematic IQ Warehouse Control System (Warehouse Execution System)-
- Hardware and network requirements-
- Security-
- Integration with the customers’ host system-
- Supporting the sales team throughout the sales process by producing compelling proposals and commercial documentation and acting as the technical expert in customer presentations- Liaising between the Sales team and Engineering teams to ensure the customers’ requirements are met- Performing technical development for bespoke solutions as part of design and development framework- Delivering training on solutions and providing product support to internal stakeholders- Creating internal design configuration documentation including network diagrams with technical explanations- Working with Software Engineering Managers and Supervisors and their teams to improve current and future products- Identify opportunities to add value to customers and differentiate from our competitors through our software products and solutions- Interfacing with the Project team to ensure smooth implementation of the project

What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field- Previous experience working with complex software systems, integration between vendor and customer systems, as well as identifying required network and hardware infrastructure designs- Previous experience in a sales consulting role, working on requirements gathering, design and solution building- Experience working within the material handling and intralogistics industry will be highly regarded- Passion for keeping up to date with the latest IT technologies (software products, platforms, middleware, networks, security, virtualisation, etc.)- Strong interest in automation technologies- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced sales environment- Full driver’s licence and willingness to travel locally, interstate and overseas as required
