There are no mandatory requirements for this role, however qualifications in Cyber Security or a related field would be highly regarded such as:

- Effective communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to translate technical concepts to a diverse audience base
- Demonstrable knowledge of current QLD Government Cyber Security Policy and practice and an Information Security Management System (ISMS) framework.

**Duties include**:

- Leading and maintaining the State Library adoption of the Essential Eight Security principals and regular status reporting. Managing the annual security audit process, including gathering and collating information, preparing documentation required for the auditors, and basic analysis of audit findings and recommendations
- Leading and maintaining the State Library adoption of the Information Security Management System (ISMS) so that the organisation's compliance with cyber security policy, standards, regulations, and legislation are centrally managed
- Undertake operational monitoring of network usage to ensure compliance with security polices, ensuring penetration testing and vulnerability scanning is completed, managing the risk profile, ensuring security patching is completed within a timely manner, and in conjunction with the full suite of ICTS activities.
- Manage and reporting to executive in relation to Cyber Security activities including Post Incident Reviews (PIR), identifying vulnerabilities in our current network and implementing an appropriate and relevant course of action.
