**About you**

We are looking for passionate support workers who want to help people live life their way. If you’re dedicated to assisting people with living the life they choose, supporting them with daily tasks, and achieving long-term goals, this is the role you’ve been looking for. We have multiple shifts, some include sleepovers located in **Brisbane's Northern suburbs.**

**Key duties and responsibilities**:

- Assistance with daily living tasks including personal hygiene, dressing, toileting or assistance with continence aids, eating/feeding, and transferring/mobility assistance
- Domestic activities like cleaning, cooking, laundry, and gardening
- Community access and outings not limited to driving to medical appointments, social activities, shopping, leisure outings, school activities (drop-off/pick-up)
- Supporting or introducing hobbies and activities like arts and crafts, music, sports, learning new skills, reading/tutoring, love for animals, companionship

***Requirements**:

- Qualifications in healthcare (individual support, disability, aged care, nursing) and/or relevant experience caring for people with a disability or complex care needs
- Experience working in a SIL house is an advantage
- Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support Plans and Restrictive Practice is highly desirable
- Experience in Medication administration and Seizure Management, preferred
- Experience caring for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or intellectual disabilities an advantage
- Blue Card and Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Screening
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- NDIS e-Learning modules
- Full COVID-19 vaccination
- Current driver's licence with a registered, reliable, and insured vehicle
- Effective verbal, non-verbal, and written communication
- Basic computer skills
