Our client is a thriving food processor supplying into the major retailers amongst many other national accounts. An opening for an Operations Manager has become available with the person having responsibility for ensuring the quality, safety, and efficiency of the manufacturing process. This role is based on the southern NSW Central Coast, and as such will require a commute.

In this role you will:

- Oversee and control production processes to optimize throughput and productivity.
- Manage and control operational costs, usage, and waste.
- Manage process and product quality to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.
- Ensure and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Facilitate effective teamwork and team meetings across multiple departments.
- Facilitate performance management and effectively communicated expectations to develop strong teams.
- Management of competency and assessment training for the shift teams.
- Provide ongoing coaching, support, and constructive feedback to enable team performance.
- Manage relations with internal and external customers and suppliers.
- Liaise and work closely with senior management to oversee the development and implementation of operational processes.
- Identify and drive process improvement opportunities to enable business efficiencies and reduce production unit costs.
- Provide timely and insight led KPI development and analysis aligned to overarching business strategies.

The successful applicant will possess:

- Demonstrated management experience within a Food/Beverage Manufacturing Environment leading a large team.
- Understanding of maintenance issues and processes
- Experience in working in a Lean Manufacturing Environment
- Budgetary management and financial acumen
- Excellent communication skills
