At our Belrose location, we house a key supplier development program aimed at driving efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness within our supply base.
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supplier Quality and Audit Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Specialist, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of our supplier development program. Your primary focus will be on promoting efficient, quality-driven, lean, and cost-effective processes within our supplier network. Utilizing your expertise in areas such as Six Sigma, problem-solving, SPC/process control, and quality tools, you will drive continuous improvement and deliver exceptional results.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct comprehensive gap assessments at target suppliers to identify areas for improvement and create individual supplier development plans.
- Develop and refine comprehensive training materials to effectively deploy Six Sigma, problem-solving, SPC/process control, and quality tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance the overall supplier development process and phased rollout plans.
- Monitor supplier progress and performance against pre-agreed objectives and goals, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Tailor program materials and strategies based on supplier and activity feedback to ensure maximum deployment effectiveness.
- Track multiple supplier development projects simultaneously and coordinate with the team to optimize training and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish quality, lead time/delivery, and total cost of product/service goals for the supplier base.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Product/Supplier Quality and audit.
- Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (or Lean) with a proven track record of successfully executing multiple projects.
- Strong mastery of statistics, SPC, and process control methodologies.
- Advanced problem-solving skills using quality and statistical tools.
- Proficiency in quality tools such as control plans, risk analysis, advanced quality planning, and process validation.
- Demonstrated ability to define project goals, track progress, and report to stakeholders.
- Excellent facilitation, instruction, and mentoring skills to effectively train and develop suppliers.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience leading complex projects with a broad scope and a high level of complexity.
- Familiarity with lean philosophies, production processes, and change control.
- Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness and ability to undertake frequent travel (approximately 75%).
