Maeve Wine Bar in South Brisbane is looking for an experienced bartender and section waiter to join our team. We are a busy wine-focused venue with a separate dining room and bar area.

We are looking for a bartender who is not only able to make basic cocktails but someone who has at least an intermediate knowledge of wine and who can serve customers sitting at the bar as well as manage drink dockets.

A section waiter with experience in a similar role, who can guide customers, recommend wine, time management skills and attention to detail. Must be able to carry 3 plates.

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individuals who have worked in a similar style restaurant previously, to join our team in a casual, part time or full time capacity. If you have a background in the restaurant industry and able to multi task, we'd love to hear from you. Availability on Fridays & Saturday evenings are a must.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Follow instructions accurately and efficiently
- Run food and drinks to tables
- Explain dishes and menu items to customers with clarity and enthusiasm
- Maintain clear and effective communication with both customers and team members
- Bartender / cocktail knowledge
- Take orders, explain menu and dishes
- Time management
- Handle payments and transactions with ease and accuracy
- Ensure high standards of service during busy periods

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a restaurant setting is essential, providing full table service
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- Able to explain dishes in detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of wine is a plus
- Must be able to carry 3 plates and service cutlery
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 38 per week
