**Learning Assistant**

Melbourne Grammar School is seeking a vibrant and professional Learning Assistant to join their junior school, Grimwade House.

Our Learning Assistants support our students to access the curriculum through individualised support and small working groups. They demonstrate a caring attitude and sense of awareness towards the individual needs of our students and work collaboratively with members of the Learning Strategies department and Teaching Staff.

We are hiring for both a part-time and full-time position.

Grimwade House is a caring and happy environment which values the particular nature of each child. The School is divided into two well-resourced sections, each with its own classrooms, level coordinator and specially designed play area. 'Harleston' houses the Junior Primary Years Prep, 1, 2. and 3 and Upper Primary for Years 4, 5 and 6. In addition to an extensive classroom program there are a number of specialist programs that work together to provide a holistic educational experience.

**You will**
- Build and maintain a positive working relationship with the designated students.
- Teach Intervention Programs as assigned and record session notes.
- Liaise with Learning Strategies staff and Classroom Teachers to ensure students are given every opportunity to achieve success.
- Assist the students with some personal care needs as required and support the students with social development.
- Ensure the students have access to the curriculum to the best of their ability.
- Refer all parental concerns and requests to the class teacher for decisions.
