We are searching for an energetic self-starter to fill our newly created Reliability Engineer role in the McCain Family You will join a lively and passionate team within the manufacturing space. At McCain we’re committed to driving innovation and continuous improvement.

As the Reliability Engineer, you will drive reliability improvements and lead implementation of new maintenance initiatives in priority areas. You will be responsible for recognising improvement areas in plant and build asset life extension programs. The Reliability Engineer will need to be a technical problem solver, conducting root cause analysis and implement predictive and prescriptive tools.

The role requires someone who is autonomous, builds relationships and influences stakeholders across the organisation, while supporting Plant Teams across multiple sites throughout Australia and New Zealand. Regular travel will be required.

**About the role**
- Coordinate & implement reliability/OEE improvement programs
- Use data to identify cost saving initiatives and refine maintenance strategies
- Conduct and drive internal maintenance audits
- Drive the asset life extension program
- Develop as a backfill for maintenance managers and core team
- Assist in reducing maintenance and food safety related incidents and risks

**About you**
- Bachelor in engineering: Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in FMCG or related industry
- 5+ years’ experience in direct people leadership roles
- Knowledge of reliability and maintenance improvement
- Experience in developing company standards, guidelines and policies
- Lean manufacturing experience in TPM or Six Sigma
- An Analytical mind-set, strong data comprehension - SAP experience ideal
- Experience in safety permit systems for high risk works (i.e. Confined space, work at heights)
