Community Home Australia is an internationally recognised provider of specialist younger onset dementia and disability support.
Club Kinta is our new community day program centre which will offer a varied and individualised program of activities for people living with younger onset dementia and cognitive disability who receive funding from the NDIS as well as private fee paying guests from nursing homes and the community. Meaningful Engagement is the key.
All applicants must be a Diversional or Recreational Therapist and have a strong desire to work with people living with dementia. People with relevant experience and ongoing education in dementia and person centred care are strongly encouraged to apply. Completion of ongoing specialist training in dementia care is a mandatory component of this position and you will be enabled to complete ongoing professional development as part of your employment. We also have strong links with the University of Canberra so opportunities to engage in research projects are often available.
The role is a combination of management and program tasks and should be considered a hands on role. The Manager will work with their team to achieve the desired outcomes of our guests and the organisation and we require all staff to display considerable flexibility and a willingness to engage with our guests to enable them to live their lives as they wish. Considerable resources and support are available to enable the manager to achieve the organisations goals.
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing a team of dedicated staff and growing the centres activities over the next 12 months.
Pay: From $40.00 per hour

- Certificate I - IV (required)
