**About the role**

We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate **Youth Clinician** to join our multidisciplinary team in providing crucial mental health support for young people. In this role, you will be responsible for care coordination, conducting psychosocial and mental health assessments, and delivering a range of clinical activities, including care planning and review. You’ll work closely with young people, their families, and carers to help stabilise their mental health, build capacity for self-management, and support them in engaging with valued community activities.

As a Youth Clinician, you will provide specialist assessments, individual and family therapy, crisis management, and advocacy while collaborating with key stakeholders, including other mental health teams, primary care providers, and community organisations. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to service improvement and engage in education and research, making a real impact on the lives of young people and their families.

**AHP2 **Educational/Vocational Qualifications**
- Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
- Must hold a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology or equivalent qualification as recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA). Must hold general registration with the PsyBA.

**RN2C **Educational / Vocational Qualifications**
- Registered as a Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia and holds a current practising certificate.
- Hold a qualification in mental health nursing equivalent to a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing.

**To Be Successful**:

- **Collaborative Skills**: Ability to engage and work flexibly with young people, carers, and multidisciplinary teams, fostering strong partnerships.
- **Clinical Expertise**: Proficiency in conducting biopsychosocial assessments, care planning, and delivering a range of therapeutic interventions.
- **Mental Health Knowledge**: Strong understanding of youth mental health, recovery frameworks, psychiatric medications, and relevant legislation.
- **Leadership & Autonomy**: Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and time management skills, with a commitment to professional development.
