**What you’ll be working on**
As Manager-National Sales, you will be responsible for leading a team of sales specialists that build Logistic Solutions for National and Global clients. Your remit includes driving sales calls focused on acquiring and retaining customers, managing pre and post sales activities including creating customer and pricing proposals and activating accounts. Colloboration and Building strong relationships internally and externally domestically and globally within Fedex and with the client base is also significant part of this role
- Recruit, develop, motivate and manage the team performance
- Provide guidelines support and coaching to ensure team members have the competencies, capabilities and tools to consistently deliver individual and team objectives
- Ensure team awareness of current processes and procedures, and relevant company and regulatory requirements
- Complete audits and reviews of existing processes or documentation
- Investigate anomalies, issues or variance to be addressed and implements corrective actions to create improvements in processes and procedures
- Arrange completion of accurate and timely reporting
- Provide reports, presentations and relevant information to senior management
- Ensure the effective development and use of information or record management systems or reporting practices
- Plan and schedule resources, including rostering to ensure development priorities are completed
- Communicate targets and goals to the team
- Provide updates on progress towards goals for senior management and team
- Evaluate resource requirements to ensure ongoing team capability
- Oversee team projects/initiatives in order to deliver planned results on time and within budget. This will include management of major RFQ’s
- Support team using project management tools and processes to plan, control, and execute various projects / programs
- Seek to develop and improve effectiveness and efficiency of the team
- Manage department/location budget and takes appropriate actions to optimise costs and remain within agreed parameters
- Ensure team activities are completed on time and effectively, while maintain compliance
- Highlight and act on areas of significant risk to minimise it

**What you will bring to the team**
To be successful in the role, you will need people and performance management expertise, as well as the ability to coach, develop and mentor your team members. A proven track record in new business sales, account management and customer relationship will be highly regarded.
