Eastern Community Legal Centre (ECLC) is a multidisciplinary legal service that works to prevent problems, progress fair outcomes and support the wellbeing and resilience of communities and community members in Melbourne’s East. The Centre provides free legal assistance, information, referral and community education, and undertakes primary prevention activities and strategic advocacy to change systems, structures and practices. ECLC’s vision includes Human Rights, Fairness and Justice.
The Manager - Client and Community Pathways is responsible for providing leadership, supervision and support to the Centre’s Assessment, Intake, Referral and Response (AIRR) team. This role is responsible for the oversight of key service responses relating to client and community assessment, intake (triage), and referral pathways and ensuring best practice processes. Regular analysis of centre data will identify opportunities to enhance service models and continuously improve outcomes for people seeking legal and other support services, and provide Centre-wide leadership in relation to access for client/community pathways and client experience. You will bring experience leading service delivery for clients and community, and a person-centred, trauma
- informed approach.
You will be passionate about achieving positive outcomes and maintaining strong service pathways for those most vulnerable in our community. This role will have supreme leadership skills, and be able to effectively support your team, motivating and assisting them to meet their goals.
About YOU
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline,
- Prior experience in a similar role, preferably within community services, community health and/or community legal sector,
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment,
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams at geographically spread operational sites in an effective, productive way,
- Ability to liaise successfully with a diverse range of community stakeholders, including the ability to manage escalated and challenging client and/or community interactions,
- Ability to evaluate, analyse and continuously improve system design and measurement of outcomes,
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership and team-building skills,
- You can exercise a high level of judgement, discretion and professionalism in your work, manage various competing priorities and contribute to a positive working environment.
- This position is based at ECLC’s Box Hill/Boronia locations. As this role requires on-site work and liaising with vulnerable community members, the successful applicant must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or hold a valid exemption._
