Educator- Outside School Hours Care

Our **WONDER**ful OSHC program located in Elanora is looking for educators to join their team. Our children are looking for someone who is passionate about providing opportunities full of wonder and imagination in their newly created “Fairy Garden”, and someone eager to create culinary masterpieces in the loose-parts mud kitchen with them. School Plus are specialists in providing high quality Outside School Hours Care Services to children across South East Queensland. **We are currently seeking to employ casual Educators for our OSHC Elanora Service. **As an Educator your primary role will be to support the Coordinator and Assistant Coordinators in the planning and delivery of fun and active programs for primary aged children.

The successful applicants must be committed to creating a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment for primary school aged children and have the following skills:

- You will have a true passion for working with children (4-12 years).
- Be able to build strong relationships with the children, parents, school and community.
- Work as part of a team and acting as a role model to staff and children.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- You will be an outgoing, reliable person who has lots of initiative.

**To be successful, you will need**:

- Relevant childcare qualifications (or are actively studying). Or if you are completing an Occupational Therapy, Disability Services, Education or Human Service Degree and looking for casual work to gain hands on experience in working with children, including some students with additional needs.
- Previous experience in OSHC or working with children 4- 12 years old preferred but not essential.
- Be available to work at least 3 afternoons a week (Monday - Friday).
- A current Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
- All qualified educators must hold current Senior First Aid, CPR Emergency Management of Asthma and Anaphylaxis or alternatively a certificate for HLTAID012 - “Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting” as this covers all certificates.

**Hours of work are varied**:

- 6.30am - 9.00am Before School Care
- 2.30pm - 6.00pm - After School Care
- Various shifts during vacation care
