Eden Ritchie is seeking a Vendor Management Officer who is self-motivated, enthusiastic, and results-oriented approach to join a newly formed team to work on the set up the VMO, establish methods of working and to commence review of the highest spend contracts. You will have the ability to develop relationships and interact with multiple stakeholders.

**As the Vendor Management Officer AO6, you will have the below key responsibilities**:

- Contract drafting and negotiation
- Probity monitoring
- Assessment of contracts
- Assessment of business methods of working
- Development of templates and guidance to support VMO
- Research and Analysis of industry development with comparison
- Assessment of key performance measures
- Application of governance frameworks.

**Essential Qualifications/Certifications/Skills**
- Demonstrated Procurement or Contract Management knowledge and experience
- Negotiation and Supplier relationship management
- Experience in project management procedures and practices
- Demonstrated ability to understand and analyse contracts, QITC contract experience highly regarded
- Awareness of the governance framework surrounding contract management and vendor interactions, ensuring that probity is maintained at all times.

**Highly Desirable Qualifications/Certifications/Skills**
- ICT procurement/contract management knowledge and experience
- QLD Government Procurement certification (**please state which level held, preference is level 2 or higher**).
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders - able to clearly articulate position and advice
- Proven ability to solicit information and construct vendor management strategies that meet the business needs
- Analytical and benchmarking skills to enable the generation of value propositions from contracts and analysis of supplier propositions
- Strong attention to detail so that data and documentation is accurate and high quality and that advice is clear
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team - including ability to organise own work, planning, prioritising work, meeting deadlines, maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion in the absence of decision
