**About the role**

Here at RACQ, we want to shape a more sustainable and safer future for all Queenslanders. Due to the expansion of the group’s strategic operative environment, we are looking for a Strategy Lead to help develop key parts of RACQ’s future group strategy. Reporting to the Head of Group Strategy, we are looking for an energetic and strategically minded professional, ideally with former exposure to the Energy sector, to progress strategic development and execute programs and initiatives across the group. Your duties will include:

- Maintaining a constant and continuous watch over the Group’s strategic environment, identify and report on trends, changes, opportunities, and challenges with possible impact to the Group and provide regular visibility to key stakeholders.
- Contributing to strategic financial analysis on the Group’s forecast long term performance based on the contribution of strategic initiatives.
- Undertaking financial analysis in respect to strategic initiatives, reviewing the financial analysis provided by others, to be able to consider and advise on the financial efficacy of such proposed strategies.
- Assisting the Head of Group Strategy in leading the development and execution of strategy for the Group.

**About you**

As our next Strategy Lead, you will be or become our Subject Matter Expert in Energy within the Group Strategy team, with excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills. Excellent communication skills including verbal and written will be paramount to this role. As well as this it is important that you have:

- A University degree within a relevant study area
- At least 5 years’ experience within a relevant field
- Working knowledge of common strategic and planning methodologies
- Proven leadership skills with demonstrated ability to articulate corporate vision
- Demonstrated experience working confidently with general executives and senior leadership
- An ability to rapidly acquire knowledge and competency in new strategic and operational areas.
