VPS 3.1: $46.55 per hour + 10.5% superannuation

The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) is seeking Sessional Teachers who will be responsible for facilitating high quality learning experiences that engage diverse audiences and foster connections between visitors and the NGV Collection and exhibitions. Specifically, we are looking for individuals who have availability for at least two or ideally three weekday shifts.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
To be successful you will have demonstrated skill and experience in facilitating engaging learning experiences in an education setting or cultural organisation, including proficiency in using digital learning tools and platforms coupled with the successful attainment of an appropriate teaching qualification and current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching. You can quickly establish a natural rapport with a range of people; you are able to use spoken and written language to convey and obtain information, insights and ideas and are able to provide information to a group of people in formal and informal settings.

You are adaptable, open to new ideas, recognise the merits of different options, and act accordingly. You understand the beliefs, customs, needs and expectations of the general community, a specific community, or client group; considers situations, activities, decisions and outcomes from the perspective of how people of different ethnic, religious, professional or social identifications might see them, demonstrating an understanding of the value of diversity.
