**About the Role**:
Sessional teaching positions are available within VU English (VUE), Victoria University's English language centre. VUE delivers a range of English Language Programs (EAP, General English, Study Tours) to international students that are designed to help improve their language and academic skills so they can transition into a VU University course. This role reports to the Academic Manager and weekly hours will range from 8 to 20 hours depending on the centre needs.

As a Sessional Teacher within VUE for General English and English for Academic Purposes, your responsibilities will include:

- Delivering high-quality education to students from a range of linguistic backgrounds
- Delivering onsite with the **_possibility _**of remote delivery if the centre requires it
- Contribute to the development of learning and assessment resources
- Monitor, evaluate and assess student English language progression and successful course completion

**Salary and Conditions of Employment**:
For the sessional teaching roles, the hourly rate payable is $88.64 plus superannuation.

Conditions of employment will be covered by Victoria University's Vocational Teacher Enterprise Agreement 2019.

**About You**:

- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree
- An approved TESOL qualification (CELTA/ Graduate Diploma or Master in Education: TESOL)
- Hold a current Working with Children Check or VIT or willingness to obtain oneA flexible approach to teaching that utilises effective teaching methodologies
