Do you have a knack for building strong supplier relationships and negotiating great deals? We’re looking for a **Buyer - Fresh Produce** to bring the freshest produce to our shelves and keep our customers coming back for more **In this Role** - Source top-quality produce directly from growers and market agents, securing the best products at the best prices. - Manage relationships with suppliers to keep our stock fresh, affordable, and always on point. - Implement smart business plans and hit sales targets while keeping an eye on margins and minimizing losses. - Ensure the right products, at the right price, in the right quantity, while driving loyalty to our retail offer. **You’re Likely a Match If*** - 3+ years of FMCG buying experience (bonus points if it’s in fresh produce) - A sharp eye for market trends and pricing strategies - A love for all things fresh and an ability to spot great deals - Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage stock like a pro **Life at Metcash** Experience a supportive and flexible work environment.
