**About the Role**
They are currently seeking a Payroll Officer with workers compensation and SAP system experience to join their high performing team in Goulburn, with the flexibility to work from home. This is an estimated 3-month temporary assignment, with a strong potential to extend.

Working within the Shared Services & Customer Experiences Business Unit, you will be required to undertake financial and administrative services including processing payments and expenditures, preparing and monitoring the payroll system along with processing financial transactions

**Responsibilities**
- Deliver high level, professional customer service
- Answer enquiries within a timely and accurate manner
- Liaise with key stakeholders to retrieve accurate data to inform claim determination and payment
- Submit claims for reimbursement of wages
- High volume processing of workers compensation wage claims
- Complete manual calculations and adjustments to ensure integrity of payments
- Ensure claims are processed in compliance with agreed timeframes and procedures
- Generate workers compensation payroll reports for management
- Update and maintain employee records and files
- Investigate and correct payroll data integrity errors to enable workers compensation claim to be completed and updated
- Records and database management ensuring high integrity, accuracy and confidentiality
- Establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships facilitating engagement, partnerships, collaboration and contribution of ideas
- Contribute to continuous improvement strategies
- Ensure compliance with best practice and legislative requirements

- Public Sector experience highly advantageous
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
- Professional, resilient and empathetic manner
- Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
- Solid analytical, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills

**Requirements**:

- Demonstrated Payroll processing experience
- Extensive experience in a highly transactional payroll related environment
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS office suite & SAP essential
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Reliable remote internet access
- Willingness to undergo National Police Check
- Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
