**Position Information**:
Blacktown Boys High School is a single-sex, partilally selective public school in Western Sydney. The school has approximately 850 students, with a large number identifying as LBOTE.

Blacktown Boys High School has a strong academic focus, while working with all students to support them into appropriate pathways based on their interest and suitability. The school library serves all students for a variety of needs, including study and homework assistance, research and assessment support, collaboration between teachers and students, and as a future-focused learning space that provides areas for students to engage in a variety of activites.

**Selection Criteria**:

- Approval to teach secondary library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education, with experience in using the Oliver Library Management System.
- Capacity to effectively manage a modern library and its resources, that functions as a learning hub for the school, including use of digital and ICT resources.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and support teachers and students in delivering effective teaching and learning, including developing student literacy, numeracy, creativity and critical thinking.
- Experience to advise and collaborate with Senior Executive and staff in the design and overall management of a modern learning hub to create a stimulating 21st Century learning environment utilising the latest in research technology.

If applicable engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Librarian qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education, which must be completed within 24 months.
