Working alongside our tertiary Maternity Service and the state’s surgical centres we deliver and provide both immediate stabilisation and/or long term care to newborns with a range of complex conditions.

**WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU**:

- The Graduate Diploma in Neonatal Care program is a fully paid employment model that will see you providing direct patient care to newborns from 22weeks’ onwards with a wide range of conditions.
- Conducted over 1 year, you will find yourself learning through a variety of modalities - bedside teaching, weekly tutorials, and dedicated study days. An extensive clinical practice portfolio will support your learning as well as periods of supernumerary time as you transition through from the High Dependency to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. You will be enrolled into the Master of Nursing (Neonatal Care) course at the partner University, with the option of either exiting after the first year with a Graduate Diploma in Neonatal Care, or supportive continuation to complete the Masters over a further two years.

**ABOUT YOU**:

- You are a motivated and passionate Registered Nurse or Double Degree Registered Nurse/Midwife, who is dedicated to the provision of high quality family-centred care. You love working as part of a large team in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Joining the Neonatal team at MHW means you are a valued member of a supportive and inclusive environment that is dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for our patients by supporting and guiding YOU to be the best you can be.
- Registered Nurse (or dual registered Nurse/Midwife) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum 12 months recent acute nursing experience
- Your position is dependent on your successful enrolment with the University Partner
- Applicants are required to be an Australian Citizen or have Australian Permanent Residency
- Be able to work a minimum of 64 hours per fortnight including day and night shifts.
