Astra Education is looking for an experienced Lead educators for our purpose built Reggio Inspired centre in the heart of Port Melbourne.

Located just moments from the beach our children enjoy beach kinder and bush kinder and with Bay St on our doorstep all our rooms have routine community outings to explore what Port Melbourne has to offer.

We believe in providing children with the best possible start in life and as such we engage specialist teachers who come in every week and run a science program, art program, sport program and music program.

Our Centre philosophy is based on the Reggio Emilia approach and we believe in providing an environment that is full of natural materials, is open ended, sparks wonder and curiosity and supports project based learning.

About You:
We are in search of an experienced, passionate and caring educators who:

- Has the ability to work as part of team
- Has strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Has the ability to develop strong relationships with children and families
- Contribute to the development of the quality improvement plan
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of NQS and EYLF
- Embed the Reggio Emilia philosophy into daily practice
- Knowledge of the Child Safe Standards
- Cert III or Diploma qualification in ECEC or equivalent
- Current WWCC
- Current first aid, CPR, anaphylaxis

**Salary**: $21.85 - $40.74 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Port Melbourne, VIC 3207: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Teaching: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Working with Children Check (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
