**_About the role:_**
The Intake Worker works collaboratively with the Family Therapy Supervisor to ensure the intake and exit functions for MacKillop’s FFT-CW Shoalhaven service operate effectively.
The Intake Worker is responsible for engaging with families who are referred to MacKillop’s Functional Family Therapy - Child Welfare (FFT-CW) Shoalhaven team, assisting families to understand the FFT CW service, and completing the intake and exit process for each family including the collection of pre and post FFT-CW service evaluation data.
**_ This is a Part Time _**2.5 days, 19hrs PW Fixed Term opportunity in Nowra NSW till March 31 2026, in line with current funding contract,**_within our FFT-CW Shoalhaven program. The position reports to the FFT-CW Family Therapy Supervisor._**
**_ Key Selection Criteria:_**
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated skills and experience in an intake or relevant service delivery role.
- A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Aboriginal Health Worker, Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology).
- Highly developed interpersonal and engagement skills.
- Ability to relate to children, young people and families from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
- A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in data entry, spreadsheets and information systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of safe home visiting, risk identification and mitigation, and safety planning.
