**About the role**:
As the Chief Risk Officer with senior experience from within financial services, your primary responsibility will be to effectively formulate and drive the execution and delivery of the risk framework at the highest standard. You will lead the risk team in the establishing and communicating the organisations risk appetite and risk management philosophy. The Chief Risk Officer will be responsible for the development and execution of the risk business plan and to foster a proactive organisation-wide risk culture. The role will also be responsible for ensuring a comprehensive business continuity management program is in place, including disaster recovery and leading critical projects and organisational change initiatives as a key member of the executive team.

**About you**:

- You will have proven senior leadership skills that enable you to successfully engage and positively influence your team and the broader business, in line with company values and strategic goals;
- Expert knowledge of the risk obligations and reporting requirements as set by regulators and government;
- Extensive experience working closely with board of directors, audit, risk and compliance committee's and executive management, reporting and supporting with strategic and business planning activities and ongoing assesment of risk;
- Ability to monitor developments in best of breed risk management practices and governance and provide insights on leading risk management practices;
- Strong ability to Identify and analyse issues and opportunities in a timely and effective manner; and developing appropriate solutions or taking effective action that is consistent with the facts, constraints and probable consequences;
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, being capable to positively influence, negotiate and engage key stakeholders using sound business judgement and acumen; and
- A strong level of client service focus.
