**The Opportunity**
Our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility is looking for a **Mechanical Fitter** in our **Energy Services Asset Development** **Team** based in **Port Kembla**. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.
**What Will You Do?**
In a role that impacts the safety of our people as well as the quality and reliability of our equipment and products, you will:
- utilising your trade skills to carry out the total maintenance function on our rotating equipment and plant
- inspecting quality critical equipment and fault finding
- resolving issues and fixing any non-conformances
- seeking ways to continuously improve our maintenance strategies
**More About You**
As a Mechanical Fitter, you’ll enjoy taking ownership for your work and contributing to the larger team. You will bring:
- mechanical fitter/machinist qualifications consisting of either a Certificate III, Certificate IV, or Diploma.
- experience within a maintenance function in a heavy industrial environment
- exposure to maintenance management systems and/or basic computer skills
- an enthusiasm to learn new skills and develop yourself in the role
