**Support young people aged 12-25 with emerging mental health needs in a passionate, multidisciplinary team at headspace Port Adelaide.**

**The Role**

Centacare has an opening for a Youth Mental Health Worker join our headspace team at Port Adelaide to join on full-time, fixed term basis until 30 June 2028.

headspace is Australia's National Youth Mental Health Foundation, supporting young people aged 12-25 with mild to moderate or emerging mental health concerns. At headspace Port Adelaide, our multidisciplinary team provides free, youth-friendly services to support mental health, social, vocational, educational, and alcohol and other drug outcomes.

Working in a multidisciplinary team, the Youth Mental Health Worker will provide psychosocial assessment, risk assessment and management, and evidence-based mental health interventions to young people with mild to moderate or emerging mental health concerns to improve youth mental health and wellbeing outcomes.

**To be successful in this role, you will need**:

- Degree in Social Work, Registered Psychologist, Mental Health OT, Mental Health Nurse, or equivalent degree level qualification.
- A valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Experience using evidence-based mental health approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) or similar psychological interventions.
