Job Summary: The front of house staff plays a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and creating a positive experience for guests. They are responsible for welcoming and assisting customers, managing reservations and seating arrangements, and ensuring the smooth flow of operations in the front of the establishment. The front of house staff represents the face of the business and must uphold high standards of professionalism and courtesy at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
**Customer Service**: Greet guests warmly and provide a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Assist guests with inquiries, providing information about the establishment, menu items, and special promotions. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with guests.

**Reservation and Seating Management**: Organize and prioritize seating based on table availability, guest preferences, and special occasions.
Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth flow of orders and timely service.

**Order and Payment Processing**: Take food and beverage orders accurately, ensuring special requests or dietary restrictions are noted.
Enter orders into the POS (Point of Sale) system, process payments, and provide guests with receipts.
Handle cash transactions securely, adhering to established cash-handling procedures.

**General Operations**: Maintain a clean and organized front of house area, monitor and manage guest waiting times, updating guests on estimated wait times as necessary. Assist with setting up tables, arranging decorations, and ensuring proper table settings. Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure effective communication and smooth service flow.

**Knowledge and Compliance**: Acquire in-depth knowledge of the establishment's menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods. Stay updated on special promotions, new menu items, and any changes in policies or procedures.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment for guests and staff. Comply with established service standards, policies, and procedures.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to provide friendly and professional service.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle high-pressure situations and manage guest flow.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills for order processing and payment handling.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
