We have an exciting initiative for an Educator, Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood to join our Education team as part of our family and children services.

**The Role**

This part-time position is available for immediate start, with an opportunity to gain further work at Meerilinga.

The program is a partnership between Telethon Kids Institute, Caralee Community School and Meerilinga for an Early Years Education Support committed to the principles of ethical research in upholding the rights and responsibilities of Indigenous people and communities to be involved in all aspects of their children education and development.

**Hours**
- 10 hours per week/per term
- Tuesday and Thursday

**About you**
- Pursuant of Section 50(d) of the Equal Employment Opportunities Act 1984, the occupant of this position must be of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of the NQF, NQS and EYLF
- Ability to supervise and engage children and families in play-based curriculum
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Adhere to policy and procedures and follow direction
- Strong leadership experience and skills with proven ability to lead and support a team
- Current First Aid HLTAID012 (or willing to obtain)
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
- Unrestricted work rights in Australia
- Ability to obtain a certificate of health being mentally and physically fit to work with children
- Strong writing and communication skills, with ability to engage with a range of people of different age, background and contexts
- Proficiency in the use of the MS Office, in particular word, excel, power point and outlook
