**About the role**:
The Maintenance Lead is responsible for the Viva Energy Polymers site’s maintenance function in the delivery of Safe, Compliant, Reliable and Cost effective maintenance services in line with the needs of the business and in accordance with Corporate and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure a safe, reliable, consistent and harmonious working environment is maintained and that all site targets and objectives are achieved
- Identify in conjunction with Site Manager, individual and team training development that may be needed for all the maintenance team to succeed.
- Assist in the preparation of the maintenance budget by providing historical input on failures and input from SAP in future required work.

**About you**:
You will demonstrate effective leadership skills, while taking a collaborative approach to decision making and establishing a team-based work culture.
You will be comfortable being a mentor and coach to get the best people outcomes.

You will possess proven experience in a broad range of maintenance and reliability leadership roles and function, preferably in the petrochemical or related industry.
- Formal qualifications in engineering, maintenance or related field and/or extensive experience in mechanical or Instrument/electrical maintenance
- Strong written and verbal communications skills (ability to write reports, work procedure, instructions etc).
- Experience in dealing with change management issues.
- Capable of establishing teamwork through coaching, mentoring influence and conflict resolutions.
- Knowledge of modern maintenance and reliability strategies, systems and techniques.
- Experienced in development and management of budgets and schedules.
- SAP proficiency highly regarded
