HR Driver

Looking for 2x truck drivers for gas distribution across the Canberra region. 1x MR and 1x HR. To deliver LP Gas cylinders or to deliver bulk LP Gas to customer requirements in a clean, efficient, safety conscious and courteous manner whilst being conscious of the environment, and to work as a team member of the Retail Region. 38 hrs pw
- Ensure Tanker is maintained and presented in a roadworthy condition at all times and defects are reported and actioned as they occur
- Carry out Daily Pre-Journey Mechanical Inspection of LPG Tanker and Weekly LPG Equipment Inspection;
- Comply with all polices and procedures as well as procedures for the safe handling of LPG when delivering and loading.
- Professional and courteous to staff and customers
- Comply with all state and national legislative requirements for Driving Hours and BFM compliance
- Report potential new customers and or customer requirements to sales representative
- Overtime will be required from time to time.
- Be safety conscious and abide by all regulations associated with the position.
- Co-operate with management and staff when planning annual leave.
- Avoid all types of accidents, particular liquid spill situations. In the event of an accident/incident, correct reporting and follow up procedures are to be adhered to.
- Make yourself available for training courses, conferences etc. as requested by operations manager or regional manager.
- Complete all paperwork and hand held computer processing.
- End of day route status including missed deliveries and scheduling issues to be reported on conclusion of daily route.
- Completion of both driver work diary is mandatory as well as completion of run cash summaries
- Daily work activity to be correctly logged fleet monitoring devices.
- Report to transport supervisor any missed deliveries and sequencing or routing abnormalities.
- Carry out gas inspections as requested and required
- Attend all training and safety meetings as they occur
- Work with introduction of new technology as they occur
