**About the opportunity**

This position is within the Inpatient Nursing Department of the Mercy Care Centre Young.To provide care to patients in accordance with care plans, policies and procedures.To provide accurate and timely documentation relevant to patient care.To provide best practice care as a pivotal member of the multidisciplinary hospital teamRetain responsibility for his/her actions and remains accountable for all delegated functions

Minimum Certificate III Health Service Assistance (Assistant in Nursing Work in Acute care)To work in consultation with other staff to provide relevant and timely information.Participate in the quality processExcellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
A current Police Record Check.Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.

- Certificate III Assistant in Nursing or currently enrolled in an undergraduate Registered Nursing degree
- Demonstrated listening and questioning skills with capacity to identify and act on patient needs and expectations
- Demonstrated ability to act quickly and decisively in crisis situations
- Demonstrated capacity to work cooperatively within a team environment and value different perspectives
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflict situations in a calm and professional manner
