The Role

As a Training Specialist with the KBR team, you will work across the full life cycle of contemporary learning and development projects. You will be intimately involved in identifying client needs, analysing performance problems, designing learning specifications and from that, developing technological based solutions that deliver viable outcomes from client concepts/ statement of requirements. To do this, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a dynamic team across all aspects of the L&D process.

**Responsibilities**:
**To be successful in this role, you will be able to**:
design and develop learning solutions and packaged materials in consultation with key defence clients

assist with the planning and execution of workplace analysis, capability analysis and researching performance problems with clients and our teams

utilise analysis data to design learning specifications, and develop learning courseware for delivery via multiple modes and methods including the online environment/ self-directed eLearning/ virtual instructor led and online group delivery

adhere to customer training systems and processes such ADDIE or contemporary variations of these approaches to generate innovative training options that address capability gaps

assist in the management of content and/or document review cycles

produce materials within timeframes aligned with project schedules

**Requirements**:
In order to meet the requirements of the role, you will possess:
5+ years in a learning and development environment (public or private sector) conducting analysis, instructional design, development and evaluation activities, or a combination and mix of tasks across these areas

be a values-focused individual, possess a growth mindset, value quality, innovation, teamwork, respect for others, be open and live behaviours befitting the modern workplace

a well-developed knowledge of adult learning theories and principles in the context of capability development (vocational or tertiary qualifications in adult education, L&D or related fields are desirable)

excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work autonomously with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams

well-developed verbal and non-verbal communication skills

experience working with/in government and/or Defence

Australian Citizenship and either hold (preferable) or be able to obtain an Australian Defence security clearance.
