Venue Manager

We’re looking for a motivated, energetic, and engaged Venue Manager for our iconic Running with Thieves Brewery and distillery. We need someone who is keen to grab the reins and build on the venue’s solid reputation.

You’ll be supported and guided by an experienced General Manager, but will ultimately have full responsibility for the venue, its day-to-day operations, and the team.

Running With Thieves is the largest operational independent brewery and distillery in Western Australia and produces a range of craft beers, in addition to premium spirits and crafted cocktails.

Located on iconic South Beach, the brewery includes a bar, restaurant with an open kitchen, and retail outlet that reflects the modern, relaxed sophistication of South Fremantle.

Three copper pot stills form the heart of the bar and mínimal barriers allow you to immerse yourself in the brewing process and appreciate the passion that goes into creating our beers and spirits. All our products are made by hand and packaged on-site.

**Job tasks and responsibilities**
- Management of venue; including (but not limited to) cost control, labour management, P&Ls, marketing insight and activations, KPIs/targets.
- Driving a relatively new venue with a lot of headroom for maximisation.
- Liaising with the kitchen to ensure consistent quality and presentation of meals.
- Continued improvement of the customer experience.
- Hands-on and operational role working alongside a close-knit team of staff to develop, train and upskill.
- Ensuring compliance with liquor licensing, council regulations, food safety, WHS, and other relevant legislative instruments.
- Approved Manager (Liquor License) and current WA RSA

**Skills and experience**
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and train a team of staff.
- Pragmatic approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work autonomously with direction and guidance from GM
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Genuine desire to build a connection with the local community.
- At least 2 years of previous venue and people management experience.
- Friendly, positive, and approachable attitude.

**Salary**: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
