**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As a Taste My Bean Café Attendant, you’re the foundation of our customer experience. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you’ll support the team across all areas of the store — except the espresso machine.

Your day will include taking orders at the counter or drive-through, preparing and serving our delicious food range, keeping the store clean and stocked, and helping pack orders for takeaway and delivery. You’ll also use the POS system and drive-through headset to provide quick, friendly service with every interaction.

Whether you’re on the floor, in the kitchen, or at the window, your role plays a big part in keeping things running smoothly and ensuring every customer has a great experience.

This is a great stepping stone for anyone who wants to make café work a career — and for anyone interested in becoming a barista down the track, we offer on-the-job training for the right team members.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Take customer orders using the POS system or drive-through headset
- Accurately process payments, handle cash, and give correct change
- Prepare and assemble food items, including heating and packing orders
- Clean all areas of the café, including floors, dishes, benches, and bathrooms
- Maintain café stock and supplies, restocking fridges and shelves as needed
- Operate the drive-through speaker and headsets to provide quick, clear service
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and cleaning procedures
- Support team workflow during busy periods
- Pack orders for takeaway, drive-through, and delivery apps

Please note: Level 1 Café Attendants are not permitted to use espresso machines unless they are being formally trained.

**MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS**
- Strong spoken English ; clear verbal communication is essential for taking orders via drive-through headset and ensuring customers are understood
- Confident interacting with both customers and team members in a busy café environment
- Able to work within a large team and follow direction
- Physically able to stand for long periods and lift items up to 20kg
- Able to follow TMB’s procedures for food safety, cleaning, and product preparation
- Must have the right to work in Australia

Taste My Bean pays all team members under the **Food and Beverage stream of the Restaurant Industry Award 2020**.

- **Café Attendant: Level 1 (this role)**:

- Weekly pay with applicable penalty rates
