Airborne Surveillance Control and Intelligence Systems Program Office (ASCISPO), located at RAAF Base Williamtown, NSW and RAAF Base Edinburgh, SA, performs sustainment and major capability upgrades for the Air Force's fleet of E-7A Wedgetail and MC-55A Peregrine systems.
As part of a small team the Contract Management Officers provide a wide range of support to ASCISPO, including but not limited to:
- Management and coordination of new contracts
- Coordination of contract change proposals to existing contracts
- Accurate and timely Configuration to a wide range of contracts
- Management of technical data, intellectual property and export controlled information
- Facilitation and drafting of contract correspondence
- Maintenance of Contract Administration Register Suites
- Management of Contractor Performance reviews
- Advice to stakeholders on legislation and procurement policies to ensure compliance
As a result of this selection process, a merit pool may be created to fill similar vacancies should they arise.

The APS5 Contract Management Officer will be able to demonstrate:
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with an attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines by taking responsibility for body of work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence
- Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Strong teamwork skills and a commitment to being an active team member
- Ability to interpret and provide advice on legislation, policy and procedures relating to the contract management function
In addition to the above, the APS6 Contract Management Officer will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in leadership with the ability to coach and mentor team members
- Ability to manage workflows of a small team, with the agility to balance conflicting priorities
- Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders to meet desired outcomes
