**The Role**
The Risk & Compliance Analyst will assist in the operation of the Retirement and Superannuation Solutions (RSS) Risk Management function, providing expertise in risk management, ensuring the Risk Framework is embedded within the business and at all times promoting awareness of risk management throughout the business.
Undertake a proactive role within the business to ensure clarity of risk and control measurement, clarity on reporting via Key Risk Indicators and assisting the business in implementing plans to correct any observed control weaknesses.
Support the business in ensuring compliance with all legislative and regulatory obligation and provide meaningful data analysis as required by Risk & Compliance team.
**Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities**
Operational Management
- Work closely with the RSS operations team ensure high quality and accurate risk register reporting.
- Assist with the risk reporting process and prepare documentation for governance forums (RSS business risk committee and client governance forums)
- Review incidents, including performing breach assessment, root cause and trend analysis.
- Review incidents submitted for closure to ensure appropriate actions have been undertaken and ensure appropriate evidence to support.
- Review operating procedures and provide feedback as required.
- Assist in the conduct of targeted risk reviews over high-risk processes as required.
- Assist in the planning and execution of the control assurance process.
People Leadership
- Work collaboratively with the broader RSS Risk & Compliance teams.
- Professionally represent the Risk and Compliance global team.
Governance Risk & Compliance
- Industry experience working within an Operational Risk function or a related control discipline.
- Understanding of the principles of risk management
**Experience & Personal Attributes**
- Industry experience working within an Operational Risk function or a related control discipline advantageous (desirable within a financial services institution or pensions administrator).
- Ability to maintain a high level of detail and accuracy whilst at times working to meet demanding reporting deadlines.
- Understanding of the principals of risk management.
- Ability to work independently balancing multiple priorities, demonstrating good organizational, analytical and reporting skills.MS office suite advanced level skills.
