**We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Consultant to join our Medical Oncology Team**

The Department of Medical Oncology at Flinders Medical Centre (FMC) provides a comprehensive specialist service for patients with cancer who are from the southern region of Adelaide or southern part of South Australia.

**About the role**:
Reporting to the Head of Unit in Medical Oncology, this role provides clinical services of the highest possible standard to Medical Oncology Department patients, both in terms of individual performance and by providing clinical leadership and contribution to a multidisciplinary approach to the delivery of patient care.

Duties for the role will include:

- Working harmoniously with all members of the clinical team,
- Coordinating the follow up care of patients,
- Participating in programs designed to provide personal growth and development,
- Contributing to the supervision of postgraduate students,
- Contributing to the development of an integrated team approach and culture which is highly responsive to the needs of our consumers.
- Ensuring the maintenance of comprehensive clinical records which document significant patient management decisions.

**About you**:

- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent,
- Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award,
- Experience with the supervision and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff,
- Extensive clinical experience relevant to work in Medical Oncology,
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement.
- Applicants need to be available to work Thursday and Friday
