**The Role**:
We are looking for an exceptional Product Manager to join our growing Global Product Team. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with a world class product team, evolving our leading global solar software product. You will be responsible for gathering user requirements and feedback, synthesizing the requirements and defining high-impact features and product enhancements to help our users succeed. This role will offer you amazing product management experience and future career opportunities within our product team. The role will be based at the OpenSolar Sydney office in Haymarket.
**What you’ll be doing**:
- Contribute to the delivery of the product strategy.
- Assist in translating the product vision into a product roadmap, ensuring the roadmap is aligned with the strategic product vision.
- Gather user feedback (directly and indirectly via support/sales teams), assess and synthesize user feedback to develop product recommendations.
- Producing business requirements documents.
- Assessing business processes and looking for opportunities to improve the efficiency of business processes and system functionality.
- Work with key strategic partners to understand their needs and develop product recommendations.
- Gathering and validating product enhancement requirements. Constructively challenge stated requirements to drive a robust set of requirements.
- Produce thoroughly-defined development requirements (functional specifications) for product enhancements. Lead the creation and maintenance of requirements gathering and documenting templates.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops with business and technical stakeholders to capture product enhancement requirements.
- Create user and training documentation.
- Manage project delivery withing budget, cost and scope guidelines.
- Effectively communicating requirements to stakeholders, managing conflicts, issues and changes in order to ensure that stakeholders and team members remain in agreement on solution scope.
- Performing “as is” and “to be” process and gap analysis. Modelling/mapping of business processes and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
- Collaborate with the UI/UX team to ensure designs meet product standards.
- Collaborate with the software development team to ensure product designs are technically feasible and commercially viable.
**What you’ll need**:
- 2+ years of experience in product design, product management and/or product user support.
- Preference for solar industry experience.
- A strong passion for understanding users and helping them succeed through intelligent product design.
- Experience facilitating workshops and eliciting business requirements and translating findings into User Stories and Process Maps.
- Demonstrated best practice use of key business analysis documentation e.g. scope/ business requirements, detailed business requirements &/or solution design documents
- Strong analytical, problem solving and insight generation skills.
- Ability to document clear user requirements and translate requirements into product design solutions.
- Desire to challenge the status quo and develop innovative solutions.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Ability to work within a global team and a fast pace
