**The Company**
This is an exciting opportunity to join an Australian owned and operated Market Leader established for over 130 years working with a small friendly and supportive team based in the South East Suburbs.
**The Role**
**Key Duties will include**:
- Assemble and manufacture products in an accurate and timely manner with a focus on compliance to OH&S and quality
- Manufacture of parts as directed when not performing primary function.
- Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
- Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components
- Assist in operation of Quality System.
- List part shortages on internal requisition.
- Liaise with Production manager weekly to ensure that overdue sales order requirements are reported.
- Perform final inspection on parts supplied by sub-contractors and approve (or otherwise) suitability for production.
- Ensure Housekeeping, Quality and OH&S standards are always maintained.
- Perform other production duties as directed.
- Duties will be reviewed and revised from time to time.
- Reporting non-conforming products
- Rotate through multiple stations
**Skills and experience**:
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Technical knowledge and ability to read CAD drawings
- Ability in using tools such as milling machines, drill press, lathe machine and hand tools preferred
- Ability to work under limited supervision
- Co-operative, thorough and team oriented
- Good understanding of quality control principles
- Excellent attention to detail
