**About the role**

For this role, we are seeking a male support worker prepared to support customers with personal care, going to medical appointments, to work and various community activities **such as** sports, pool, walking, shopping and cooking. An outgoing, vibrant personality will see you achieve these outcomes.

**A typical day in the role may look like**

**Key duties include**:

- Delivering a wide range of domestic supports within a customer’s residence;
- Supporting person-centred plans that identify a customer’s life goals;
- Support customers to engage in a wide range of community-based activities which can include water;
- Ensuring positive behaviour support plans are followed; and
- Administration duties and mandatory daily reports.

**What you'll need?**
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships;
- Ability to follow Person Centred plans and assist people to achieve their goals and outcomes;
- Previous experience with manual handling and medication administration is required;
- A willingness to assist with personal care and domestic duties experience;
- A willingness to use your own private vehicle to transport customers (aligned with Activ’s motor vehicle allowance rebate);
- Are fully vaccinated for COVID 19 as per the Government mandate for Support Workers;
- Proven administration and computer literacy skills.
- Police clearance and/or NDIS worker screening check.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module

**Activ staff working in roles that require regular attendance to our residential disability accommodation homes must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and receive a booster dose within one month of becoming eligible.**
