Treasury is seeking dynamic individuals with strong communication skills and attention to detail who are committed to best practice and delivering the highest quality service to the department, portfolio and our Ministers.
The Corporate Division has a number of roles available at the APS 6 level, including immediate vacancies for Ministerial, Cabinet Liaison and Appointment Officers.
**Ministerial**
Ministerial Officers (APS 6) play an important role in the provision of ministerial services and administrative system support to Treasury and our Ministers.
You will be responsible in a supervisory role to work as part of a small team and work closely with stakeholders across the Treasury portfolio to build solid relationships and ensure the timely and effective provision of ministerial and Parliamentary Document Management System (PDMS+) information, guidance and support.
You are a capable and collaborative team player in managing a dynamic workload. You effectively represent the team in internal and external forums. You support a culture of continuous improvement and the development of innovative solutions to enhance the stakeholder experience.
**Appointments**
Appointment Officers (APS 6) play a vital role in providing administrative support for the appointment of office holders to Treasury portfolio entities.
**Cabinet Liaison**
Cabinet Liaison Officers (APS 6) coordinate the flow of sensitive material within Treasury and work closely with stakeholders to ensure the timely provision of information.
You will work in a small team, maintaining the security of information and managing a dynamic workload. You will be collaborative and a supportive team player. You must be willing to work on a rostered basis during peak periods, including being on-call after business hours and on weekends (restriction allowance applies).
As an APS 6 you must be able to demonstrate that you have:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to ensure the accuracy of information.
- Strong technical skills or ability to use whole of government systems to support and drive business process improvement.
- The ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple work tasks.
- The ability to develop productive working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- The ability to prepare and maintain up-to-date reference material that supports the development of best practice.
Positions will be based in Canberra and this process may be used to establish a merit pool that may be used to fill future vacancies, as required.
